Yazoo Valley to have planned power outage
Yahoo Valley will have a planned power outage beginning at 1 a.m. Thursday to replace power poles damaged by a recent storm.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — There will be a planned power outage on Thursday at 1 a.m. while Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association replaces a utility pole that was broken by a recent storm at Oak Ridge and US Highway 61 in Warren County.
These repairs will likely take nearly four hours, and the outage will affect members in the area along Highway 61, on the west end of Oak Ridge, Camden Subdivision, Boy Scout Road, and parts of Sherman Avenue, Union Avenue and Standard Hill Road.
Yazoo Valley has scheduled this work for the early morning hours in an effort to cause the least possible inconvenience for our members and so that the power will not be off in the hottest part of the day. We appreciate your patience as we complete the job as quickly as safely possible
