Megan Theriot commits to EMCC
Megan Theriot, a standout athlete from St. Aloysius, has committed to East Mississippi Community College to compete in softball and soccer. She announced her decision on social media, expressing gratitude to her supporters as she prepares for her senior season.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Megan Theriot, a St. Aloysius softball and soccer player, has committed to East Mississippi Community College, where she will compete in both sports.
Theriot announced her commitment Thursday night on social media, sharing her excitement about continuing her athletic career at the collegiate level.
“I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to EMCC to continue both my soccer and softball career,” Theriot wrote on Instagram. “I give all my thanks to the Lord. I would not be where I am without Him or the teachers, coaches, and teammates that have pushed me along the way!
“I also want to thank my parents and family. They are at every game supporting me, cheering me on, and pushing me to be better. I could not have done any of this without them! I can’t wait to see what the future holds at EMCC. Go Lions.”
Theriot is at the beginning of her senior softball season with St. Aloysius. She was previously named the Vicksburg Daily News’ 2025 Co-Softball Player of the Year.
Theriot will also play soccer during the spring season before continuing both sports at EMCC.
