“Books on Us”: Hinds offering free books for Summer 2025

RAYMOND, Miss. Hinds Community College is offering free books for Summer 2025 classes through the “Books on Us” campaign. The program will cover book charges, including ebooks, for all summer 2025 courses.

Current students, new students, university students home for the summer, transfers and dual enrolled high school students are all eligible for the free books, including eBooks. “Books on Us” does not cover other fees such as lab fees, kits or tools.

Students new to Hinds must first apply and then enroll in Summer 2025 classes. Current students do not have to apply again but do need to enroll in the classes. Eligibility is subject to the availability of seats in the course.

On-campus summer classes begin May 27 and June 23. Online summer classes begin June 2 and June 30.
