Car crashes into house on Ethel
A car crashed into a house on Ethel on Sunday afternoon in Vicksburg.
Just after 3 p.m. a car crashed into a house on Ethel Street in Vicksburg. The SUV was 2/3 in the house and the driver was initially trapped in the vehicle. Shortly after the call came over the radio indicating neighbors had helped the driver out of the vehicle and that she was uninjured.
The first unit on the scene was Master Sergeant Kervin Stewart with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, who was in the immediate area on an unrelated call and responded to the event. A Vicksburg police officer and a fire medic unit arrived to assist the individual, but they declined assistance.
No one inside the home was injured.
