Layla Carter, a talented basketball
player hailing from Vicksburg, showcased her skills as a freshman for the University of Southern Arkansas.

Despite the team’s 72-63 loss against the University of Arkansas Monticello, Carter emerged as a standout performer with 14 points and two rebounds to her credit.

Southern Arkansas will travel to face Henderson State University on Saturday.
