Jayiah Ransom named MACCC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

RAYMOND, Miss. – Jayiah Ransom of the Hinds Community College Women’s Basketball team has been named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week following her performance on the court last Thursday against Jones College inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium.

Ransom was the Lady Bulldogs leading scorer in the lone game last week for Hinds. The Jackson, Miss. native put up 20 points in the 62-40 win over Jones College, shot 7-8 from the floor, and was 6-7 from beyond the arc.

Ransom and the rest of the Lady Bulldogs will return to action on Thursday, January 25 against Northeast Mississippi CC in MACCC action. Tipoff at J.D. Boyd Gymnasium is set for 5:30 PM
