Tyler Henderson and Kam Bailey speak on the big win.

From the start, both teams showcased their scoring abilities, but it was Henderson’s impressive dunk that ignited the Gators and helped them take the lead. Alongside Henderson, Jaylin Jackson’s 3-pointer and a
skillful spin-around jump shot by Mikey Johnson kept Vicksburg in the game.

Despite Neshoba Central’s initial 20-18 lead, the resilient Gators, led by Henderson and Bailey, quickly narrowed the gap. Just before the halftime buzzer, the Rockets managed to land a remarkable half-court 3-pointer, pushing their lead to 39-35.

In the second half, the Gators was strictly business, with Davian Williams delivering outstanding performance behind the 3-point line, while Henderson dominated the court, grabbing rebounds and converting them to points. Kealon Bass and Jackson also contributed crucial corner shots, allowing Vicksburg to enter the fourth quarter with a 64-51 lead.

The fourth quarter started with a powerful dunk from Williams, adding to the Gators’
momentum. Bailey displayed unmatched rebounding skills, turning every opportunity into points. Henderson, ever consistent, earned another dunk and maintained his intensity until the final seconds, with Johnson and Williams sinking a couple of shots. The game concluded with a decisive victory for the Gators.

Henderson(11 rebounds) and Bailey(17 rebounds) both put up 30 points each while Williams contributed 17. Johnson and Jackson both finished the night with eight points and Bass added three.

Next up, the Gators (19-4) will be hosting Ridgeland on Tuesday, aiming for another impressive performance at the home court.
