Lady Eagles are now the district champions

Porter’s Chapel Academy’s girls’ basketball team emerged as District 4-3A  Champions after a dominant 49-14 victory over Prairie
View Academy.

From the start, the Lady Eagles showed their superiority, taking a commanding 32-7 lead by halftime. Jae”la Smith led the charge, contributing significantly to the score, while Lauren Madison also made notable layups.

In the second half, Sophie Masterson and Emily Muirhead impressed with their 3-point shots, further establishing PCA’s dominance. Prairie View Academy proved to be no match for them. With this win, PCA’s season record improved to an impressive 15-0, with a perfect 8-0 standing in district play.

Jae’la Smith was the leading scorer, impressing with 22 points and six rebounds. Lauren Madison also made her presence felt with 10 points and eight rebounds. Marley Bufkin and
Sophie Masterson each added six points to the tally, while Masterson also made an impressive 11 rebounds. Emily Muirhead rounded off the night with five points and five rebounds.

The Lady Eagles now hold the prestigious title of the No.1 seed in South State as they continue their successful campaign.
