Cop killer sentenced in Mississippi

31-year-old Dante Bender was sentenced last week in Lauderdale County after pleading guilty to killing his fiancé, Brittany Jones, and Police Officer Kennis Croom.

Judge Charles Wright handed Bender sentences of Life in Prison for First Degree Murder and Life without Parole for Capital Murder. 

Back in 2022, Officer Croom responded to a domestic situation when he was shot and killed by Bender, who admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Bender pleaded guilty to both charges and will never be eligible for parole.
