Correctional Facility employee arrested

A Mississippi Department of Corrections employee was arrested last week after having an alleged sexual relationship with an inmate.

30-year-old Ashley Thompson has been charged with sexual penetration of an incarcerated offender. Thompson worked for the East Mississippi Correctional Facility before her arrest.

Thompson was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center and her bond was set at $20,000.
