Donald Drue Randolph 1937-2023
Donald Drue Randolph, 86, beloved father and husband, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2023. He was born in Glenmora, Louisiana to the late Albert Allen Randolph and Gracie Mae (Hinson) Randolph. He was preceded in death by his son Drue Randolph and brother-in-law Ralph Bates.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patty Lou (Vincent) Randolph, brother Clyde Randolph (Lucille), sister Shirley Henry (Mike), sister Janet Bates, daughter Shari Graves (Charlie), daughter Perian Bufkin (Bully), son David Randolph (Erin), grandsons Shawn Clack, Zachary Randolph (Rebekah), Mackenzie Randolph, Gabe Bufkin (Kori), Drue Randolph, and granddaughters Grace Bufkin, Kayte Randolph and Hailey Randolph.
After graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering from Southwestern Institute of Technology (University of Louisiana at Lafayette), he was immediately drafted into the Army and served for one year in Panama during the Cuban Conflict. Upon leaving the Army, he worked as a civilian for the Department of the Army at Waterways Experiment Station (ERDC). He retired in 1993 and has enjoyed a long retirement in Tallulah, Louisiana.
Don will be remembered for the love he showed to friends and family. He especially loved spending time with family during the holidays, his birthdays, and at family reunions. He will be missed dearly.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, December 28th at 2:00 pm at Glenwood Funeral in Vicksburg, Mississippi with Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation preceding from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Gabe Bufkin, Drue Randolph, Dane Arnold, Matthew Arnold, Austin Arnold, and Lane Bates.
