Elizabeth Diane Wallace passed away at her Vicksburg home on the morning of March 7, 2024, surrounded by her husband, Winford Earl Wallace, Jr., and daughter, Renee Adcock; best friend, Brenda McGarrh, along with Kristina Ballard, Thomas Parker, and the loving and caring staff of Heart of Hospice. She was 73. Diane was the daughter of the late Gerald Sanderford and Velma Pitts. Diane was retired, having owned Sunset View Resort until 2022. Through the years, Diane and Earl had numerous successful careers, including real estate and restaurants. She graduated from Redwood High School and is an Eagle Lake Methodist Church member. She enjoyed gardening, remodeling, painting ceramics, and cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Winford Earl Wallace, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Renee Adcock (Thomas); grandchildren, Lance Burton, Taylor Burton, Katie Burton, Hunter Burton, Brandon Burton, Kimberly Burton, Austin Adcock, Emily Adcock, Catherine Adcock; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Paul Sanderford (Mary); one sister, Shelia Tarver, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Eugene Burton, and brothers Jerry Dale Sanderford, Samuel Vincent (Mickey) Sanderford, and Gregory Thomas Sanderford.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 1830 Cherry Street. Services begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Daniel Thomas, Robert Graves, John Elfer, Chris Libbey, Heath Pickering, Austin Adcock, and Martin Pace will be pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Martin, Stan Thibodeaux, Chuck Fisher, Sean Mitchem, Nate Bailey, Bill Parker, Dale Foster, Dale Maxwell, Sarah Farrell, Will Hubert, Reed Birdsong, Tommy McKinney, Johnny Sanderford, Justin Sanderford, Candy Sanderford.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Robert Lee Giffin, Dr. James Hamilton IV, Dr. John C. Winscott, Dr. “O” Olatunji Oluwatade, Dr. Dawinder Sohal, the staff of The Vicksburg Fire Department, Ambulance Service, and Associate Chief Trey Martin, Meredith Washington, Ms. Beverly Anona Davenport, the staff of Amedisys Home Health, Meredith Banks, Latondria Banks, and Anona Ellis.
