VICKSBURG, MS –  The annual Fall Empower Hour is set for Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse.  The two-tiered event will offer health screenings as well as valuable information to the public.

Plan A Mobile Clinic will be located on the Jackson Street side of the courthouse. The free confidential services offered include primary care screenings for high blood pressure and diabetes, family planning, STI and HIV testing, pap smears and family planning. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. No healthcare insurance is required.

In addition to the screenings, a display table in the lobby of the Warren County Courthouse will contain information from various organizations and agencies that provide services such as domestic violence counseling, mental and behavioral health support services and general wellness assistance.

The Fall Empower Hour is sponsored by the Office of Ninth District Circuit Judge Toni Walker Terrett.

Though the format of the event is different from years prior, Terrett is hopeful that the event will reach more people.

“Our goal in offering this event is to empower people with the tools needed to improve their physical and mental health,” Terrett said. “I hope that folks will take advantage of this opportunity.”
