Fayette native Delvin Thompson named District Coach of the Year; Choctaw Central won the District Championship

The Choctaw Central High School boys’ basketball team emerged victorious in the District Championship(Region 4-4A) last week with a score of 78-70 against West Lauderdale. Impressive
performances led to several Warriors receiving All-District honors. Additionally, Delvin Thompson, a Fayette native, was recognized with the prestigious District Coach of the Year
Award.

Finishing the regular season with an outstanding 24-5 record (including a flawless 10-0 in district play), CCHS is now gearing up to face North Pontotoc in the first round of the playoffs. The game will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m., fueling the team’s excitement and
determination to continue their winning streak.
