Flashes Junior High basketball team finished with a 39-33 win over Hillcrest

St. Aloysius Junior High boy’s basketball team made a crucial comeback to defeat Hillcrest Academy 39-33.

The Flashes was down 8-3 in the first quarter but a combination of shots from Dru Gleese, Lanier Lambiotte and Walt Andrews narrowed HA’s lead to 15-12 at halftime.

Grant Gattle, Gleese and Andrews all got on the board in the third quarter as the Flashes only trailed by a few points. John Hossley came in clutch during the final quarter by knocking down four free throws and along with a nice layup. Andrews also took control by scoring 10 points alone in the final quarter.

Andrews led the game with 20 points and Hossley came away with eight on the board. Gleese finished with seven points and six assists while Gattle and Lanier scored two points.

St. Al will travel to Washington School on Tuesday.
