The St. Aloysius football season came to an end on Friday after a 35-14 loss to Winston Academy on Friday.

The Flashes had a winless season in 2023 after injuries and lack of depth. Land Oglesby, Caleb Tucker, Brady Harrell and Damien Reeves will all graduate.

St. Al was down 35-0 by halftime but eventually got on the board in the second half after Carson Smith hit Sadler Lambiotte and Walt Andrews for touchdown passes. Reeves scored the two-point conversion. Thompson Fortenberry had over 100 all-purpose yards while Laken Bradley caught multiple passes.

The Flashes will return most of their players next season, including a host of freshmen.
