Former Vicksburg resident Savannah Buck hired as the Head Softball Coach at WCCA
WOODVILLE, Miss. (VDN) — Former Vicksburg resident Savannah Buck has been named as the new Head Softball Coach at Wilkinson County Christian Academy. Buck recently spent the last two years at Adams County Christian School.
At ACCS, Buck led the Lady Rebels to a 13-13-1 season in 2024 where the team grabbed key wins over teams like Briarfield(state champions), Tallulah Academy and Centreville.
Before arriving at ACCS, Buck spent four years at St. Aloysius Head Softball Coach. In her final 2022 season, she helped the Lady Flashes to a 9-15 season where they were just one game shy of clinching a playoff spot.
Prior to coaching, the Georgia native starred at Blue Mountain College and Louisiana State University at Alexandria.
WCCA welcomed Buck in as they officially announced her hiring on Monday.

Savannah Buck was born and raised in Jasper, Georgia. She graduated from Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (2014 ).
Savannah was a collegiate softball pitcher and utility player. She competed for Blue Mountain Christian University for two years, LSU Alexandria for one year—where her team won conference and post-tournament championships, regional titles, and placed 3rd in the NAIA World Series—and completed her playing career at Belhaven University. She studied Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health, and Psychology during her college years.
She served as Head Softball Coach at St. Aloysius in Vicksburg for four years and was also the Head JV and Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for two years, teaching PE and Health. For the past two years, she has been the Head Varsity and JV Softball Coach and JV Girls Basketball Coach at Adams County Christian School in Natchez, where she also teaches Health. In addition, Savannah has nearly 15 years of experience as a private pitching, hitting, and fielding coach, and has coached the 12–14u Diamond Dolls travel ball team in Natchez for the past two years.
