Funeral Arrangements Set for Mrs. Cruthirds

Vicksburg, Miss.- Funeral arrangements have been set for longtime local schoolteacher, Carrie Marie Walton Cruthirds. Mrs. Cruthirds passed away on Saturday, December 7, following a brief illness.

Family hour will be held at Jefferson Funeral Home on December 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The homegoing celebration will be held at Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.

Mrs. Cruthirds was 71 years old and spent 36 years as a teacher with the Vicksburg-Warren School District. She taught history at Vicksburg High School until her retirement and was a member of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ in Port Gibson, Mississippi.
