Glenwood Circle Wins Best Lights in Vicksburg Holiday Tour

VICKSBURG, Miss. – The winner of the first annual Vicksburg Holiday Lights tour’s “Best Neighborhood Christmas Lights” was announced this afternoon, with the award going to the Glenwood Circle neighborhood. Votes were tallied by QR code given out during the tours.

The sold-out tours, held during the first two weekends of December, toured neighborhood light displays in downtown Vicksburg, and were divided each night by an early family tour followed by an adult tour. The tour included a stop at Duff Green for cookies and hot cocoa.

“We had volunteers every tour, that volunteered as tour guides,” said Maggie Nasif, coordinator for the event. “Every tour was a little different because what the tour guide brought to it. They were great.”

This year, only two neighborhoods were included, Glenwood Circle and Fostoria, but Nasif hopes to include more next year.

A sign was made for the winning neighborhood, donated by Seth Lloyd of Lloyd Industries.
