Vicksburg resident Latoria Kerr has now started aa new career in real estate. Kerr announced last week that she took a leap of faith and is now a licensed real estate agent.

Kerr’s Bio:

I’m originally from Brookhaven, MS but Vicksburg has been home since starting my law enforcement career with Vicksburg Police Department in 2009. I’m currently a school resource officer for the Vicksburg Warren School District. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in Pre-Law from Alcorn State University and a master’s in Criminology and Social Justice from Delta State University. I also have experience in processing loans and grants through USDA Rural Development.

Real estate is something that I have always had an interest in. Homeownership plays a vital role in helping to build strong, stable communities. It also opens the door to investments, buying power, improving credit, and allows families to pass that wealth on to their children who then continue to pass it on through the generations. I believe helping people is part of my purpose. And by becoming a real estate agent I’ll now have the opportunity to help individuals and families own the home or property of their dreams. I am beyond excited to embark upon this new journey and learn as much as I can so I can represent my clients professionally and effectively.
