The St. Aloysius softball season has come to an end after the Lady Flashes took a loss to Brookhaven Academy over the weekend. St. Al finished the 2024 season with a 9-15 record under Head Coach Mike Foley.

Although the Lady Flashes’ season was cut short in round one, they managed to pull off some big wins this year to make their second consecutive postseason appearance. They earned wins over teams like Tallulah Academy, Adams County Christian School, Manchester Academy, and the defending state champions Briarfield Academy.

The Lady Flashes will return nearly their entire roster next season while only senior Kyleigh Cooper will depart from the team due to graduation. She finished her high school career with 534 strikeouts and 109 hits at bat.

In Saturday’s loss, Megan Theriot went 3 for 4 at the plate along with hitting a double. Madison Spencer(2 RBIs), Cooper(1 RBI), Ruthie Britton, and Madelyn Kavanaugh all had two hits. Mallory Spencer hit a double and Mageigh Haller hit a single in the 7-5 loss.

St. Al will now go into offseason training in preparation for next year.
