JACKSON, Miss. (VDN) — Several Vicksburg-area athletes were showcased at the Magnolia State All-Star Games held Friday at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson. The event brought together top talent from across Mississippi, with players competing in both middle school and high school divisions.

Vicksburg High School baseball coach Brandon Kincaid had the opportunity to coach in the high school division and reflected on the experience with pride.

“I had the pleasure of coaching alongside some outstanding coaches and watching talented athletes compete at a high level,” Kincaid said. “I was especially proud to have a few of my own representing.”

Vicksburg High standouts Allan Allen and Kolten Thomas competed in the high school division, while middle schooler Noah Bass represented the Gators at the younger level. Bass also earned the prestigious Silver Slugger Award for his performance.

Warren Central was also well-represented. Justin and Logan Evans suited up for the high school division, adding to the local presence on the field.

Kincaid noted that the event was more than just a game. It was also a reunion of sorts, offering a chance to reconnect with players he has coached or competed against in past seasons.

“Meeting great players on both the middle and high school levels and seeing so many familiar faces made the experience even more meaningful,” he said. “Moments like these keep the passion alive.”

Kincaid also extended his gratitude to the Magnolia State All-Star staff for organizing the showcase and giving athletes a platform to shine.
