Missy Gators hosted a softball tournament on Tuesday

Vicksburg High School softball team hosted a tournament on Monday where they played Riverside and Florence.

In game one, the Missy Gators fell short 6-4 against Riverside. Avery VanNorman and Shandrea Lockridge both had singles while MaKynzie Dunmore hit a triple.

During the regular season, Florence run-ruled VHS twice but the Missy Gators stepped up and forced a 4-4 tie on Tuesday with the Lady Eagles. Lili Kistler and Harmony Harris both hit back-to-back doubles while Laney Kistley got the run that tied the game.

Monday marked the ending of summer softball for VHS as they are led by Head Coach Briana Knox.
