Missy Gators opened their season with a 2-0 win over McLaurin
Vicksburg High School girl’s soccer team started their season with a 2-0 win over McLaurin on Tuesday.
“The girls played great and they’ve been working together especially in the second half and I’m really happy for them,” VHS Head Coach Maurice Gilliam said.
Amari Johnson scored the first goal of the night in the second half with 20 minutes left in the game. 10 minutes later Tamiyah Davis earned the second goal that put the game away. Goalkeeper Lili Kistler had six saves in the win.
The Missy Gators will travel to Laurel on Saturday.
