Over the weekend, a hunter leaving after a day in the woods reportedly found human remains in Calhoun County.

According to WTVA in Tupelo, the hunter was in a wooded area off CR-211 Saturday night when he found the remains.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, Bruce Police Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the state crime scene unit were sent to the scene.

Sheriff Greg Pollan said that’s all the information they have at the moment, but we will keep you updated if there becomes more to report.
