One arrested after Hattiesburg girl fight becomes gun fight
Authorities in Hattiesburg are looking into a girl fight that became a gun fight.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Hattiesburg Police Department responded to a call in relation to an aggravated assault incident, involving the use of a deadly weapon, that occurred in the 1000 block of John Street, in Hattiesburg.
When officers arrived, they were advised that a fight occurred between two females, where one had pulled a gun and fired several rounds into the other’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
The suspect, later identified as Lavonna Monique Walker, 29, of Hattiesburg, fled the scene at the time of the incident.
Walker was apprehended on Wednesday, Nov. 22. She has been charged with aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon, and has been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
