One shot on Heartwood

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One person has been shot in an incident on Heartwood Lane in the county.

Just after 9:30 a.m., reports came in of a shooting on Heartwood Lane in the county. Heartwood is off Highway 80 near Ironwood.

Initial reports indicate the as-yet-unidentified victim was shot in the upper thigh by a 15-year-old male who was known to the victim. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies are at the location on Heartwood, and a paramedic unit has been dispatched to attend to the victim. There is no word on the condition of the victim at this time.
