PCA finished with a 68-26 win over Tallulah Academy

Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball team crushed Tallulah Academy 68-26 on Thursday night.

The Lady Eagles quickly took the 27-5 first quarter lead after Marley Bufkin popped two 3-pointers. Jae’la Smith put up double digits in the first quarter alone while Sophie Masterson knock down two shots.

Masterson came in and hit a big post move that resulted in an easy layup to start the second quarter. Lauren Madison also stepped in and showed off her skills inside-the-paint to put PCA up 40-13 at halftime.

The second half belonged to the Lady Eagles as Smith took control of things while Masterson nailed three 3-pointers.

Smith led with 28 points, seven steals and nine rebounds. Masterson scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Madison finished with seven rebounds and 15 points. Bufkin scored eight points while Audrey Carraway added three and Emily Muirhead made a free throw.

Abigail Kennedy and Rachel Florice both scored eight points for TA.

PCA is now 6-0 under Head Coach Casey Fisher.
