Port Gibson man shot to death; two teenagers arrested in connection with the murder

One person was killed in Port Gibson on Thursday night and two minors have been arrested.

Yesterday afternoon the Port Gibson Police Department received a tip about a body in a car on Utopia Drive. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that 23-year-old Ethen McGrew was shot in the head.

A 16-year-old has been charged with murder and a 17-year-old has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Their names have not yet been released but they have been charged as adults.

Port Gibson Police Chief Russell Dorsey stated that the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the case.

“My heart goes out to everyone involved in this incident,” he added.

More information will be released as court dates are pending.
