Third murder suspect arrested for allegedly killing a 15-year-old in Lamar County

A third arrest has been made in a fatal shooting at Pineview Apartments in Lamar County.

With the assistance of Lamar County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Hattiesburg Police have arrested and formally charged a third individual involved in the fatal shooting incident that occurred at Pineview Apartments on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Bryan “Lil 6” Brown, 17, of Columbia, has been charged as an adult with 1st Degree Murder for his involvement in the death of 15-year-old Jayna Lumzy. Brown has been transported and booked into the Forrest County Jail.

All suspects allegedly involved in the murder of Lumzy have been arrested.
