Vicksburg Fire Department Chief Derrick Stamps was at the location.
“The Vicksburg Fire Department suffered a devastating loss this morning when two of our firefighters were lost in an automobile accident. Our firefighting family is hurting but we are taking care of the immediate family of our two firefighters. Over the next few days as we lay our brothers to rest we ask that the community keep us in your prayers.”
Lost in the accident were Firefighter and Paramedic Jarod Squire who started in December of 2020 and Firefighter and EMT Derico Davis who started with the Fire Department in November of 2022.
