USM came out with a 34-31 overtime win against Louisiana Lafayette
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
The University of Southern Mississippi won their second game in a row after defeating Louisiana-Lafayette 34-31 in overtime.
Billy Wiles and Ethan Crawford each threw a touchdown while Frank Gore Jr. rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Gore also had a receiving touchdown as well as Jakarius Gaston.
Dylan Lawrence and Michael Caraway both led USM’s defense with seven tackles.
The Golden Eagles will travel to Mississippi State on November 18.
