The Vicksburg High School baseball team started their season with an impressive victory, defeating Tallulah Academy 11-1 on Thursday.

In the first inning, the Gators quickly took the lead 3-1 thanks to a single by Chris Green, a triple by Tyler Carter, and a double by Seven West. Kaleb Doss contributed an RBI in the second inning, extending their lead to 4-1.

The turning point came in the third inning, as Doss and Green delivered a double and a triple, respectively. Several errors by Tallulah Academy allowed the Gators to score seven runs in the third, bringing the score to 11-1.
The game was called early due to the run rule, securing an easy win for VHS.

Green finished the game 3 for 3 with two RBIs, while Doss drove in five runs with his two hits. West and Carter also contributed with one hit and one RBI each. Doss showcased strong
pitching, allowing only one hit while striking out seven batters.

Next, Vicksburg High School will hit
the road to face Yazoo City on Tuesday.
