VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Warren School District has launched its “What Parents Want” survey to gather input from families and help shape priorities for the 2025–2026 school year.

The district is calling on community partners — including churches, local businesses, and civic groups — to help share the survey and encourage participation.

“We believe that listening to parents is one of the most powerful ways to improve education,” said Marcus James, VWSD Director of Communications and Media Specialist. “This survey is more than just a form — it’s a conversation starter that helps us better understand what families expect and need from their child’s school experience.”

The survey focuses on key areas such as communication, school culture, student support, extracurricular opportunities, and overall satisfaction. Survey responses will directly inform district decisions on programming, resource allocation, and planning.

VWSD is asking the community to assist by:

  • Sharing the survey link on social media
  • Posting flyers in high-traffic locations
  • Including the survey in newsletters or email communications
  • Announcing it during community meetings or church services

The survey is open now through Friday, August 15, and can be accessed at https://forms.gle/tvLFKv6s11aFxMYo9.
