VIS announces upcoming state testing schedule

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg Intermediate School (VIS) has announced its upcoming state testing schedule and is asking all students to be present on testing days to ensure “a smooth and successful testing season.”

The testing dates are as follows:

• April 8: Third-grade GATE
• April 23: Fifth-grade science
• April 29: Fourth through sixth-grade ELA, Part 1
• April 30: Fourth through sixth-grade ELA, Part 2
• May 6: Third-grade GATE retest
• May 7: Fourth through sixth-grade math

VIS administration encouraged parents to have daily conversations with their students about “the importance of giving their best EVERYDAY!”

Each school sets its own testing dates. Principals are encouraged to submit their state testing schedules to info@vicksburgnews.com.
