VPD reports a vehicle was stolen and quickly recovered

In a press release, the VPD is reporting a stolen vehicle from Waterview Casino that was quickly recovered.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to WaterView Casino, 3990 Washington Street, for a reported stolen vehicle. According to the report, the owner had lost his key fob, which the suspect found and used to open the 2016 Mazda sedan.

Four minutes later, at 11:52 pm, another officer located the stolen car abandoned on Highway 61 South. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
