Warren Central cheerleaders shine at Urban Cheerleading Experience camp

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — The Warren Central High School basketball cheerleaders made a strong statement at the Urban Cheerleading Experience camp, bringing home several top awards and showing they are ready for the 2025-26 season.

Under the direction of head coach Erica Wilson, the Lady Vikes claimed first place in the overall game day routine, first place in overall U-Tine dance, and second place in cheers. The squad also earned the coveted On Point Award, which recognized the team for maintaining energy, spirit, and preparation throughout the entire camp.

Several athletes also earned All-American honors, including Jamisen Cage, Arie’elle Slaughter, Alyssa Banks, Mere’ Smith, Armanni Smith, Derriona Gibson, and Kamila Johnson. These individuals stood out for their leadership, skill, and performance during evaluations. This season’s Head Captain is Jamisen Cage. Co-Captains are Slaughter and Gibson.

The full team includes Alyssa Banks, A’dereona Payne, Jamisen Cage, Lundyn Reece, Derriona Gibson, Armanni Smith, Harmonie Glapion, Mere’ Smith, Narkhalis Gray, Ronjaliyah Smith, Kamila Johnson, and Arie’elle Slaughter.

With the Urban Cheerleading Experience camp success behind them, the Lady Vikes are looking forward to a strong season of school spirit, sideline excellence, and competition.

Warren Central will continue preparing for the upcoming football and basketball seasons with high hopes and high energy.
