VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—Warren Central High School softball standout Maddy Pant has officially committed to playing at the next level. The rising senior verbally announced that she will be attending Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas.
“I am incredibly excited to formally commit to continuing my academic and athletic career at Lyon College,” she said in a Facebook post. “This is a dream come true, and I feel so blessed to be joining such an incredible team and school. I want to thank Coach Kuhn and the entire staff for believing in me and offering me this amazing opportunity. This journey has not been easy, but every challenge along the way has been worth it. There are so many people I owe thanks to for their unwavering support and encouragement.”
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for guiding me throughout this process and providing me with the strength to keep pushing forward. To my parents, thank you for your constant love, sacrifices, and belief in me. You have always been my biggest supporters, and I wouldn’t be here today without your support. From the countless hours spent traveling to games, helping with training, and just being there, I’m grateful you guys have always stayed by my side through the process. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Go Scots.”
