WC boys won the North State Swim Meet; Lady Vikes came in second

The Warren Central High School boy’s swim team won the North State Championship and the girls finished in second place.
Ashtin Wallace came in first place in the butterfly(55.80) and Noah Jones also finished in first in the 100 meter freestyle(54.43). Wallace also came in second in the 200 meter individual medley,
James McKenna, Jacob Byrd, Wallace and Jones all helped WC earn first place in 200 medley relay(1:51.77) and the 200 freestyle relay(1:41.38). McKenna finished fourth in 100 butterfly backstroke and 100 backstroke.
On the girl’s side, Avery Greer won the 100 freestyle(58.29) and Jenna Moulder won the 100 meter butterfly(1:14.67).
Chloe Bernard, Kara Rowe, Greer and Moulder all won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Alex Rowe(VHS) qualified for the state meet after finishing fourth in the 500 meter freestyle and third in the 100 yard butterfly.
Ashtin Wallace, McKenna, Byrd and Jones all advanced to the state meet.
Gracie Davis, Ella Opperman, Aubrey Rankin, Katie Wallace, Greer, Moulder, Barnard, Kara Rowe and Grace Fiebelman will all advance as well.
The State Meet will be held in Tupelo from October 20-21.
