WC tennis team picked a district win over Ridgeland

Warren Central High School tennis team secured their second district victory on Friday by defeating Ridgeland.

Luke Bond and Sydney Sullivan secured straightforward wins (6-2, 6-0) in the mixed doubles, while Laura Bailey and Amelia King defeated Morgan Majors and Johari Bacon in
girls doubles No. 2 with a score of 6-1,6-1.

In girls doubles No. 1, Ellie Tennison and Avery Hern outshined Rekiya Smith and Odyssey Mahougou with a score of 6-1, 6-2. Brady Taylor and Gray Lampkin excelled in boys
doubles No. 2 with a score of 6-2, 6-3, while Sam Harris and Charles Harris claimed victories in boys doubles No. 1 with a score of 6-3, 6-0.

Lilli Feibelman triumphed over Kelly Herring in girls singles with a score of 6-2, 6-1, contributing to the team’s success.
