16-year-old charged with murder in Mississippi
STARKVILLE, MS. – The Starkville Police Department charged McKenzie Robinson, a 16-year-old from Starkville, with murder and two counts of aggravated assault. On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 10:07 p.m., multiple people were involved in an argument at Brookville Garden apartments, 305 Everglade Avenue.
The 16-year-old, who was in a vehicle during the altercation, struck several individuals, killing a 48-year-old female and injuring two others. The two injured victims were treated and released.
Oktibbeha County Deputy Coroner Billy Miller confirmed that Cynthia Dailey, 48, was killed in the incident.
A witness of the incident and friend said Dailey was not involved in the altercation, and had just gone outside to get her child.
The incident remains under active investigation.
