VICKSBURG, MS. – Two are dead in an apparent domestic related murder-suicide on Warriors Trail yesterday, September 4, according to Warren County Sheriff, Martin Pace. Their names were released this afternoon.

Just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Warren County Sheriff’s office were dispatched to the area of 2500 Warriors Trail on a report of a shooting.

Johnny Dill Jr., 53, and Crystal Dawn Sanderford, 45, were found dead on the scene. According to the sheriff, Sanderford suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and Dill Jr. suffered from a single gunshot wound to the head. A weapon was recovered on the scene. There is no indication of any else involved.

This is an ongoing investigation, and at this time, this appears to be a domestic related murder-suicide.

The names were being withheld until next of kin were contacted.

“It’s always important that we’re able to notify next of kin or have another agency notify next of kin, if possible, in a very concerned manner,” said Sheriff Pace to the Vicksburg Daily News.
