JACKSON, Miss.(VDN)—The 601 Bulls AAU Basketball team won the HoopFest Tournament over the weekend. The tournament was held in Jackson, Mississippi, with the 13-15-year-old team going undefeated in all four games.

“I was excited for our guys.” I only ask for four things from my players and that is that we play hard play together and have fun, but most importantly, win,” Head Coach Sherman Logan said while laughing.

On Friday the 601 Bulls which were currently ranked #4 in the state, defeated the #3 team in the state, Mavs Elite 55-54 on Saturday, and knocked off Team Nola 54-41. Sunday, which was Bracket Play, they defeated Momentum Elite 57-42 and in the Championship Game, they played #3 ranked Mavs Elite again and came out victorious 44-42. There were 12 teams in their Bracket and the 601 Bulls were the last and only undefeated team left standing.

Now that the Bulls have won HoopFest, they now have their focus on another tournament in Biloxi where they will be playing in Biloxi from May 17-18. They will also be traveling to Ruston, Louisiana on Memorial Day weekend for the Circuit City of Champions.
