Smith won the High Jump State Championship

Porter’s Chapel Academy’s Jae’la Smith had an outstanding start to the weekend as she is now a State Champion in the MAIS Class 3A High Jump. She hopped 4’10 to take home the gold medal while freshman Mia Abdo came in fourth place(4’6). Marley Bufkin finished sixth in the long jump.

On the boys’ side for PCA, Jase Jung finished third place in the high jump(5’10). Tyler Halter and Lakelan Pecanty both came in seventh place in the 3,200 and long jump.

For St. Aloysius, Samantha Edwards finished fourth in the 3,200 but will run again on Saturday. Julia Moberley came in seventh in the discus.
