VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High School sophomore Allan Allen has officially been invited to participate in the Magnolia State Games.

Allan received the invitation in March. He recently helped VHS clinch a playoff spot as the No. 4 seed in the district. This season, he is batting .345 with 20 hits, 10 RBIs, and 26 strikeouts on the mound.

The fifth annual Magnolia State Games will take place June 17–18 at Freedom Ridge Park. Players will take part in a pro-style showcase and play in two games.

All position players will participate in the workout the morning of June 17, followed by team assignments and the first round of games. On June 18, the event will conclude with a second game for each participant. Rosters, pitching rotations, and lineups will be selected by Prep Baseball Mississippi staff.
