VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A Vicksburg woman was taken into custody after selling methamphetamine to an undercover cop, authorities said.

In a joint investigation by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Vicksburg Police Department, 47-year-old Elizabeth Heather Wright was arrested Sept. 2 on Wisconsin Avenue. The operation was led by Jeff Merritt(WCSO) and VPD’s Donnie Heggins, who conducted surveillance and documented Wright making the drug sale to an undercover officer. Other members of law enforcement were involved in this investigation.

At her initial court appearance, Wright’s bond was set at $50,000 by Justice Court Judge Jeff Crevitt. However, a detainer was also issued because she is currently on felony probation from a prior conviction. She is being held at the Warren County Jail.
