VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg YMCA is gearing up for another exciting youth basketball season, with registration opening Nov. 1 for boys and girls ages 5 to 13.

Information on Vicksburg YMCA basketball registration

The program will feature several age divisions, including co-ed teams for ages 5 and 6, boys’ divisions for ages 7–8, 9–10, and 11–13, and girls’ divisions for ages 7–9 and 10–12. All players must turn the appropriate age before Sept. 1, 2025.

Registration costs $65 for YMCA members and $85 for non-members, with scholarships available for those who qualify. Games will be held at the Purks-Golding YMCA, and families can register either in person or online at vicksburgymca.com.

First-time participants in any YMCA sports program are required to present a birth certificate during registration.

In addition to players, the YMCA is also seeking volunteer coaches and referees to help make the season a success. Coaches must be at least 17 years old.
