One shot on Warriors Trail

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (VDN) — One person has been injured in a shooting that appears to have been targeted.

A shooting occurred in the 900 block of Warriors Trail at around 9 p.m. on Friday. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reports that a “small-caliber” shotgun struck a 42-year-old male, who possibly received a handgun injury as well. The male was reportedly standing in the carport area of the residence, working on a vehicle, when a car pulled into the driveway and shots rang out.

The male was transported to UMC. He was conscious and talking.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Department collected items from the scene. Pace did say that at this time, there are no suspects. Sheriff Pace would not go into further detail, citing that the investigation is rapidly evolving.
