The Missy Gators’ big first inning featured runs scored by Kaci Coleman, Howard, Lockridge, Madisyn Kimble, Jakayla Hampton, Harris, Morgan Atkinson, Shakell Davis and K. Wilson, aided by multiple walks and stolen bases.
Holmes County Central scored its lone run on a passed ball to cut the deficit to 16-1 after one inning.
Kimble dominated in the circle, recording three strikeouts while throwing a no-hitter in the win.
Game 2 brought more of the same as Vicksburg rolled to a 20-0 victory.
Lockridge powered the offense with two inside-the-park home runs and finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Dayana Gonzalez added an inside-the-park home run that drove in two runs, while Makayla Calvin followed with another inside-the-park homer for two RBIs. Howard contributed a double in the win.
