William ‘Bill’ Edward Smallwood, 92, passed away on August 23, 2026. A U.S. Army veteran, he enjoyed sports and family gatherings. He is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

William “Bill” Edward Smallwood passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was 92 years old.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for Cooper Lighting for many years. Bill loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and loved Ole Miss Football and anything sports he also loved to go out dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents James Elmer Smallwood and Effie Carlene Reynolds Smallwood; daughter Vickie Lynn Tart; his siblings J.C. Smallwood, Opal Adams, Ola Ray Flint, and Nancy Jane Robinson.
He is survived by his daughters Gaye Stokes (Paul), Kay McDaniel (Robert), Gayle Dolan, and Judy Whitam (Cliff); grandchildren Michelle Tart, Michael Tart, Joshua Whitam, Michael Ryan Whitam, Montana McDaniel, Justin McDaniel, Dylan Dement, Austin Dement, and Derek Dolan; great-grandchildren Evan Tart, Luke Tart, Mills McDaniel, Harrison Whitam, and David Whitam; a brother Paul Smallwood; and a son-in-law Mike Tart.
